So much to be thankful for

So I know this is my third post of the day and the others have been slightly boring, but I feel like it's been a while and I have a lot to catch up on.
As you all may know, Thanksgiving is coming right up. I figured the appropriate thing to do is to make note of the Lord's hand in my life and list the tender mercies I receive daily.

1. Every morning I get to walk into a room of smiling, beautiful children and hear, "Good morning Teacher Andrea!" in precious broken english.

2. I have made some of the best friends here and have been so blessed by each of them.

3. The scriptures are such a wonderful power that brings me so much peace and comfort whenever I read.

4. The support of my loving family. They are so great I can't even express..

5. The blessing of eternal families. I cannot imagine being without them for eternity.

6. My parents who skype me and just let me rant for ages about my teaching, my awesome kids, my friends, my problems, my scary moments, and sometimes just sit there while I don't have much to say and just want to see them.

7. My friends at home who send me little messages letting me know they love me

8. One of my best friends ever since 6th grade coming home in a couple weeks

9. The opportunity to go to church with a group of awesome kids.

10. Being able to take the sacrament and renew my covenants each week.

11. The two stalwart priesthood holders in my group that worthily prepare the sacrement each sunday.

12. The wonderful people we run into every day that are just nothing but nice.

13. The Peruvians we met that invited us to dinner and gave us something other than rice.

14. The comfort from Heavenly Father that no matter what happens, everything will be ok.

15. The internet. nuff said.

16. Having access to conference, mormon messages, and other words of our prophets seers and revelators just through my computer.

17. The motor taxies that are so scary but provide us with the thrill of a lifetime.

18. The chinese teachers who save us when there's nothing we can do to control the precious, but sometimes demon children.

19. The way I can wake up every morning on time to teach even if it's cutting it close.

20. The cheapness of china and all the fun stuff to buy! :)

21. Taobao and all our fun adventures on there.

22. That I can pray at any time, anywhere I want and for whatever reason and know that my Heavenly Father is there listening.

23. I'm grateful that I never feel alone because He is always there.

24. I'm grateful for the prophet, President Monson, and his sweet spirit and lovable personality.

25. For my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Oh how grateful I am and will always be.

26. Being able to prepare and register for classes even though I'm across the world.

27. The really patient El Ed advisor, Solana, that has answered my million emails about classes and other such things.

28. Being accepted to BYU! I'm so relieved.

29. The safety and continuous healing of my wonderful grandma.  She's so strong.

30. Speaking of my grandma, she and Grandpa are the best people I know.

31. Their never ending support and unconditional love for me even through all my impatience and shortcomings. Miss you guys and love you so much!

32. As for my roomates: Megan and her constant happy attitude and love for all things small. :) Her ability to make me crack up. She seriously makes my life.

33. Kenna and her laugh that makes you feel like a million bucks and that you just told the best joke in the world and her beautiful cinderella esque way.

34. Rachel always having my back and being genuinely concerned about my life no matter how insignificant the problem.

35. Dani making me a better person whether she knows it or not, her laughing at the jokes we think are funny but probably aren't, and her bringing us together through cool movies movies.

36. Maddie and her ability to make you feel like you're the greatest person in the world and that she truly cares about what you have to say. Her patience and willingness to listen, and her awesome friendship.

37. Kelly our hilarious and wonderful coordinator that literally slaves away for us every day and is still our best friend.

38. The peanut butter dumplings for only 5 yuan that save my life.

39. That there aren't actually bed bugs in my bed.

40. And mostly for the Savior, Jesus Christ and His perfect example. For the atonement and His willingness to take the fall for all of my selfish and stupid mistakes, for the enabling power to do things I physically can't on my own through Him.

I could keep going but I should probably spare you all of the novel this post has already become. Moral of the story: The Lord blesses me countless times every day. I hope we can all look for tender mercies and recognize His hand in all things, not only during this Thanksgiving season, but always.
