I love those little weejits

Good morning class! Say, good morning teacher Andrea! Who knows the rules? Oh wait, we're not in class anymore... Oh boy, It's getting to me already. ;) I've officially accomplished my first week of teaching! It was.... interesting to sy the least. The first day was pretty good, the second day was pretty much perfect, the third day was... chaotic, and today was equally chaotic. I went in this morning nervous to take on the little weejits. (Is that a word? I think I got that one from you mom. Yes, We've been called weejits all our lives.) Some classes were pretty good, but some were pretty awful. It was also raining outside so the routine was mixed up, which contributed to the chaos. It definitely is really hard at times to have them pay attention and get them to say what they're supposed to. I give a shout out to all the great teachers out there who are disciplinary enough but stay liked by the kids, because it's a tough job. It's also a fun job. A tiring, but fun job. :) I really do love being here and teaching is the best. I've been told the first 2 weeks are really hard and chaotic but after that it just becomes natural then the time will FLY by. I'm pretty sure that's true because we'll be vacationing and doing all sorts of fun stuff and the next thing we know I'll be home! I believe we have 14 weeks left. That's not very much time when you think about it. I have so much I want to do! I think I'll start by going to the zoo tomorrow in Guangzhou. :) supposedly its one of the best in the world and we might be able to ride elephants which would be darn cool. Already the vacations begin! I'm excited.
Anyways, sorry if I sound like I'm complaining, I'm just filling everyone in on my deep feelings and concerns. Thanks for reading. :)
Supposedly we're going to dinner at the mayors house tonight so that should be interesting! He invited us because we're so cool and foreign. I still can't get over how everyone looks at us like we're aliens.
Well I apologize that this was kind of a boring post, but in my defense, I'm not here to entertain. I write strictly for journal purposes. Sorry to burst your bubble folks. Plus since you can't even see the pictures, I won't be offended if you walk away now. Very good. Well, I'm going to post the pictures with captions anyways in hopes that when I get to the states and the chinese government isn't blocking my every move, the pictures might be visible. Wish me luck!

Two precious little boys playing. They're so cute when you're not trying to get them to listen..

Peter. He's a sweetie

I think this is Dori.. I don't think I teach her but she's super cute
And here is john.. He's pretty much 12 handfuls and a mouthful. Look at that grin, there's 'trouble' written all over it.

Oscar is soo adorable. He was so excited about his glow stick!

These are some of my favorites: tate.. I think. Lorin is soooo cute and so smart and basically every teachers dream. Jessica never really listens, but she's too cute and little to get mad at. And Lindsey is kind of out there, but she's a sweet girl.
Shelf FULL of colorful teaching supplies!

Oh yeah and we had a girls night, meaning hair and makeup of course, then went shopping. I drove kelly's mo ped and totally felt so cool. We have good times... And plenty more to come I'm sure of it!

Elephant graveyard! Just kidding more like a random elephant statue at this little park by the school.

I feel so cool!

Riding into the night..

Kenna a I feeling really asian with our mo ped and peace signs.

Going so fast!
